This identity was created for an exhibition exploring subcultures as spaces of creativity, resistance, and alternative expression.
Today’s counterculture doesn’t break glass -
it hacks and disrupts systems.
The design centres on OCR-A, a typeface originally developed for machine readability.
A rigid typographic grid and monospaced lettering evoke control and order. These are deliberately undermined through CMYK misregistration, a contrasting serif typeface, and overprint effects. The overprint suggests censorship, while the colours breaking through imply resistance and the emergence
of hidden voices.
